Brow lamination in Warsaw

Brow lamination is a treatment that sets the hairs in one direction and locks that effect in for several weeks. Brows look thicker, fuller and more symmetrical — no gel, no daily combing, no morning work at the mirror.

At Norm the treatment takes about 50 minutes. The brow specialist chooses the curve of the hairs to suit their natural growth and the shape of your face — lamination doesn't give one universal result, it brings out what you already have. We usually combine it with shaping and tinting in a single visit so the effect is complete.

How the treatment goes

• —Conversation: we look at your brows, agree on the shape and direction, and check contraindications.
• —Cleansing and the first solution: it softens the hairs so they can be set.
• —Setting and fixing: the specialist brushes the hairs into the chosen direction and applies the fixing solution.
• —Tinting and shaping (if you pick a package): colour matched to your tone, shape with tweezers or wax.
• —A nourishing conditioner to finish — done. You leave with brows that "set themselves" for the coming weeks.

Lamination or henna

Two different treatments that are often confused. Lamination sets and lifts the hairs themselves — it gives volume and order but doesn't change colour. Henna colours the hairs and the skin beneath them — it adds colour and shadow but doesn't change the growth direction.

Thick but unruly or uneven brows — choose lamination. Light, sparse brows or ones with gaps — henna or tinting will add definition. The best result comes from combining them: lamination sets, tint or henna colours. We do that duo in one visit.

How long it lasts and how often to repeat

The lamination effect lasts 6-8 weeks — depending on how fast the hairs grow and how you care for them between visits. After that the hairs gradually return to their natural position. To keep your brows looking just as good, repeat the treatment every 6-8 weeks — the natural rhythm, in step with the hair growth cycle. More often isn't worth it: the hairs need a break.

How to prepare

Come without brow make-up — we start with cleansing anyway, but mascara and pomade eat into the working time. If you use retinol or acids on your forehead, pause them a few days before the visit; after a fresh peel or sunbathing around the brows, better to reschedule. Don't shape your brows yourself right before the treatment — the specialist shapes them once the hairs are set.

Contraindications

We don't laminate when there is:

• —active inflammation or irritated skin around the brows
• —pregnancy or breastfeeding (for safety, even though there's no hard evidence of risk)
• —recent eye surgery or an ongoing eye infection
• —a known allergy to the product's ingredients (the specialist can do a patch test before the treatment)

Aftercare

For the first 24 hours the brows must stay dry — no water, sweat or shower steam. After that there are no restrictions — wash your face, work out, go to the pool. One tip: avoid rubbing the brows hard and putting greasy creams directly on the hairs, as they shorten the effect. A brow oil between visits helps keep the hairs in good condition.
